Calling all singers, musicians, artists, media makers, and creative beings!
Join us for a joint art build and song leader training. While the visual arts crew does screen-printing, painting, and banner making, the singers will learn campaign songs and how to lead others during the 40 Days of Action for the Poor People’s Campaign: A National Call for Moral Revival.
Inspired by the vision of Dr. King’s final campaign fifty years ago, communities all across the country are rising up and coming together to build the Poor People’s Campaign: A National Call for Moral Revival. As we challenge the interconnected evils of systemic racism, poverty, the war economy, and ecological devastation, we are simultaneously putting forward a vision of a world that is possible, a world free of poverty and systemic violence, and a world full of respect, dignity, and economic human rights. That is why song, artistic expression, and grassroots media-making are integral to and integrated with this organizing effort. Through arts and culture, we organize, inspire, and fight back against the distorted moral narratives that blame us, demoralize us, and pit us against each other. Join us in using lending your creative abilities to this powerful and growing movement!
